Welcome to Punting is Winning!

For those joining this site for the first time welcome. I’ve been an Iowa Hawkeye fan for almost 30 years, so clearly I am not a smart man. I do have a strong passion for sports and have found I’m really good, for some reason at memorizing plays, player names, history, etc. Some would say this is my “tism”. This site will mostly focus on Iowa Hawkeye sports, from the wonderful decisions old man Kirk makes for his Offensive Coordinator after being forced to fire his son by the new Athletic Director, to Fran McCaffery never changing his defensive philosophy in basketball despite never having great success in the NCAA tournament in his almost 40 years of coaching, and everything in between. I’ll also post about other sports, mostly NFL, and anything else funny that hits the news. The first weekend of College Football starts Thursday night and more importantly, Iowa begins on Saturday against Illinois State I think I’ll speak for all Iowa fans when I say if they go 3 and out on the first drive and run the same garbage we’ve seen since 2021 then boo’s should rain throughout Kinnick Stadium including from the kids in the children’s hospital!
